3 Celtic players who must go on loan this summer

Celtic play Livingston in the Ladbrokes Premiership tonight – and another Neil Lennon team selection brings some players into focus.

He’s spread his selections out for the majority of the season so far, choosing to rotate often and even handing chances to young players.

But there are some barely getting a look in under Lennon.

And here’s why we believe they must go on loan this summer:

1 – Maryan Shved

Do we need to explain? Shved has only made four appearances for Celtic this season and is quite clearly not rated highly enough by Lennon at the moment. If he were to go on loan, it has to be to a British team so he can continue learning the language and acclimatise to British football.

2 – Luca Connell

Connell hasn’t made a first team appearance since arriving from Bolton in the summer – and almost left on loan in January. At 20, he has to be playing football and could really benefit from some time away from the club playing first team football.

3 – Vakoun Issouf Bayo

Bayo has played a lot more than the two above, but it’s still not enough. He’s mainly played off the bench and has looked good at times. If he’s really to show his quality, though, then he needs to play consistently and that’s something he’s not getting at the moment. Ship him out to another Scottish side and watch him hit the back of the net.
